- Figure 1:
Relative log expression vs. mixture proportion with color for
various values of estimated log fold change. The relationship between
log expression in the mixture series and differential expression is
described with a loess curve fitted to the data. RMA measures were
used for this plot.
- Figure 2: Comparison of log fold change estimates obtained
from the
dilution and mixture data. For the dilution data we simply took an
average of observed fold change for all 30 comparison of liver and
central nervous system arrays. For the mixture we fitted the model
log{E(a)} = log{aE_L + (1-a)E_S} + error (which can be reparametrized
to include log fold change as a parameter):
