too logit
audio
Lyricist: Allison Lind (with the inspiration of McHammer)
Vocalists: Dorry Serev and Sommer Gentry
Too logit... Too logit to quit.
(Three times)
Sweat running all over my log (log)
I don't quit no! I just regress ... harder (yeah) than I
ever did before
Doin' the regression that i have in store in my do-file
(do-file),
and I know that I'm makin it
Likelihood Ratio Test not takin it away (nah)
Cause my model is fit.
STATA try to give me errors,
you better stop that, please, (please)
I don't need 650, to know what you been doin' there behind
the scene
Yea! I'm goin for all that i can get.
My logistic is artistic cause i'm too logit to quit. Sing!
Chorus
Too logit... Too logit to quit (hey...hey...) Too
logit...too
logit... Too logit to quit...(hey...) Too logit... Too logit
to quit
(too logit...) too logit... too logit to quit...
When Zeger’s section thinks
we're done with data from Nepal,
They bring shortbread, but we know better. The Nepalese kids
ain't ever gonna go away.
Cause our profs get paid with every mention of vitamin A.
Cause Dean Sommer don't play.
We choose, abuse, misuse and confuse all the model
coefficients
Ain't nobody gonna overwhelm with a cubic spline,
I remain the same unchanged gettin better
familiar with STATA cause i got myself together
so roll with a model who’s flexible and fit. AIC small.
and too logit to quit...sang!
Too logit... Too logit to
quit (hey...hey...) Too logit...too
logit... Too logit to quit...(hey...) Too logit... Too logit
to quit
(too logit...) too logit... too logit to quit...

Procrastination Poetry
by Diane DiBernardo
Once upon a midnight dreary,
while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious propensity score,
With Stata, crunching, graphing, and my keyboard tapping,
Stuck on a command once more,
"Tis a mess," I muttered, tapping at my keyboard more,
"Only this and nothing more."
Ah, distinctly I remember it
was bleak question 2.4,
Each separate, complex model wrought its ghost upon that
score.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; - for vainly I sought to borrow
Lots of data that could follow - follow whichever model
tells more -
The most helpful model based upon the data I explored -
Only this and nothing more!
Presently my soul grew
stronger; and I pondered a bit longer,
I glanced at my feline and saw her tail had formed a spline,
Tail twitching back and forth; did interaction help the
score?
Did income and age with gender really matter for the score?
Alas - It was but a hint and nothing more.
Quoth the kitty, "nothing more!"
And the kitty, never flitting,
still is sitting, still is sitting
On the couch atop a cushion just below my keyboard;
And her eyes have all the seeming of that sweet and peaceful
dreaming,
And the screen-light still streaming throws its glare right
through my core;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the
floor
Shall be lifted -- nevermore
(Until I figure out that darn
propensity score!)
