On our last day, we explored Barcelona. We took the subway and then a long series of escalators up to the Park Guell, a park designed by modernist architect Antoni Gaudi. The place was absolutely surreal and highly interactive. There were numerous caves and nooks into which one could climb. Pictures can't do it justice.
We then went to the Barcelona market. It was a very crowded colorful place. I was tempted to try some of the dried fruits they had, but I didn't think my stomach was up for another challenge. Finally, we wandered down one of the main boulevards and saw numerous people dressed in strange costumes solicting donations. My favorite was the hippogryph.
