On day two, we left at sunrise. The trail was relatively flat and wound between a series of lakes before climbing to the pass, Port de Caldes. We saw a very creative cairn on the other side of the pass. We reached the Refugi de Colomers around 1pm. It sits just above a dam, which was almost completely dry when we were there. The bathroom is a steep climb down a cliff side and empties into the lake. The place in general was unhygienic. I suspect the water they claimed was potable made me sick and ended up eventually cutting my trip short.
